• Survey the existing supply of and demand for SME financing products in Pakistan and identify the existing constraints for MSMEs
• Develop and facilitate a range of financial products and marketing strategies targeting MSMEs in coordination with various banks
• Design and implement capacity building and training programs for selected financial institutions in the marketing and delivery of financial services for MSMEs.
• Review the legal and regulatory requirements for streamlining MSMEs in access to finance
• Identify and/or develop required project tools and methodological approaches, and provide technical assistance and training/capacity building to ensure project interventions achieve or surpass established objectives;
• Provide effective leadership to project staff and enhance a learning culture - based upon evidenced based best practices and industry standards - to enable project staff achieve established targets and standards;
• Ensure full compliance with project donor’s requirement in accordance with the project contract.
• Collaborate with other local development players and actors seeking and maximizing opportunities for synergy creation and efficiency in our programming.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the banking and financial services sectors in the South East Asia.
• Proven experience in at least one of the following areas: loan facilitation from banks, development of supplier and trade credit products, lending facility development/management, developing loan guarantee products, SME & MSME lending
• Experience working on USAID/World Bank/GIZ/ADB-funded projects.
• At least masters degree in Finance, business, Economics or related field.
• Expert knowledge of the Asian (Pakistani) financial sector.
• Ability to assess financial institutions’ capacity building needs.
• Strong project management skills.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
