Job Details

What You Will Be Doing
An experienced Android Team Lead is needed to take charge of the team responsible for building out the company's core, cross-platform Healthcare Android applications/projects. Working in a highly Agile environment you will be responsible for running Scrum meetings & finalize requirements with client to delivering final product and post-deployment support.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult, architect, and lead projects as the expert to our client and as a leader to your team
- Manage client expectations and to make key decisions that could impact the bottom line. Interfacing with key members, delegating tasks, and problem solving complex technical issues is all in a day’s work.
- Contribute to the technical design for development projects by reviewing and understanding the high level functional specifications
- Creating detailed technical specifications; and creating high level work breakdowns and estimates.
- Serve as an internal technical resource by communicating departmental and project strategies to team members
- Drive application development through Agile software development methodologies
- Meet with the product specialist to gain an understanding of any coding related maintenance issues discovered and designs a solution for the issue in accordance to the desired application behavior    
- Supervise development team by assigning development tasks; ensuring all team members have a sufficient workload; mentoring and encouraging best practices
 
To Qualify you must be:
- We expect at least 4 years of development experience developing native complex Android apps with Java and Android SDK
- Proficient with OOP, Java, Android SDK, ADT tools, and optimization techniques.
- Experience accessing and storing web service content (REST, JSON, XML) for use in applications.
- Experience working with 3rd party data sources and API’s
- Experience in enterprise software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, unit testing, etc.)
- Have experience leading a team of at least 2-4 Developers.
- Understanding healthcare and the related complex workflows will be a plus.
- Demonstrating troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborating with multiple internal teams and management.
- Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication.
